We went to check out the pop-up of Meal n Ease at When Mac Met Cheese, but sadly when we arrived after a 2.5hrs journey they had finished all their food 2hrs earlier as they had been inundated.
However, Meal n Ease co-owners Luke and Marcus were very hospitable and got their friend Sammy (owner of When Mac Met Cheese) to create some complementary cocktails for us.
We chilled out on their sofa seats whilst sipping an Elderflower & Apple Martini and a Lychee Martini (£7 each). The citrusy notes from the Tanqueray Gin complemented the floral notes from the Elderflower cordial and the natural sweetness from the cloudy apple juice, whilst the Vodka and Lychee Liqueur also worked well together. Both great refreshing summery drinks.
We will be looking forward to the visiting the next venture of friends Luke, Marcus, Sammy and Naphir so we can try their food. Watch this space for more on their future ventures!
