We were at Nuffnang UK’s 1st Birthday party at Netil 360, and were craving some dessert type stuff after having munched on cheese burgers and vegan tacos from Club Mexicana. So I decided to venture into nearby Netil Market to see what I could find to satisfy our cravings. And I came across – Victoria Yum! This stall is full of delightful bakery goodies, and is owned and run by the lovely, friendly Kiersten Donohue. I was in seventh heaven, like a kid in sweet shop but with cakes!
As I could not decide what to take back for us to feast on, I decided the way forward was a selection of goodies – Salted Caramel Brownies, Peanut Butter Brownies and Blueberry Lemon Frangipane (each £2).
The consensus was that our favourite was the Salted Caramel Brownies – they were to die for! Just a hint of salt to balance out the sweetness from the caramel, and the brownies were nice and squidey inside. Also, the almond and the St Honor blueberries in the blueberry lemon frangipane complemented each other, and I loved the citrusy note from the lemon zest.
We will be back to try more of Kiersten’s delights – and definitely to get our fix of more of her amazing Salted Caramel Brownies. See you again very soon Kiersten!
