Anna Hansen uses her skills to combine modern ingredients and global inspiration to create wonderful tasting dishes.
We went there for brunch courtesy of Google Places London. On arrival, our hot chocolate and cafe mocha were presented with beautiful coffee art. We tucked into perfect French pastries of butter croissants, pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins whilst we made our menu choices. The fabulous smells that emanated from the kitchen were precursors for the yummy dishes that arrived: Sugar-cured New Caledonian Prawn Omelette with green chilli, spring onion, coriander, smoked chilli sambal and ciabatta toasts; Tea-smoked salmon, with poached eggs and yuzu hollandaise on English Muffins; and Poached eggs and toast with grilled chorizo, caramelised plantain fritters and slow-roast vine ripened tomotoes. These were all washed down with jugs of Restorative Bloody Mary & Japanese Bloody Mary (made with wasabi -actually a great combination), plus more coffees and passionfruit smoothies.
Friendly, attentive service. Great location on St John’s Square – with some tables outside, great during sunny weather. An enjoyable time had by all and left very content – a great way to start the weekend. We will be returning soon!
